Video Surveillance Equipment

The Fitzgerald Public Schools Board of Education will receive single prime sealed bids for the Video Surveillance Software project, on or before Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 2:00pm. Bids received after this date and time or bids received via facsimile will not be accepted. Bids shall be submitted to the Fitzgerald Public Schools Business Office, attention Robert Carlesso, Assistant Superintendent of Business, which is located on the second floor of the Fitzgerald High School, 23200 Ryan Road, Warren, MI 48091. Submit two (2) complete copies of bid submittal. Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud starting at 2:05pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2006.

The project includes providing video surveillance equipment and associated components. This equipment will be installed by others.

Bid documents will be available on or about February 22, 2006. Contact the Architect’s Office for availability. The Architect will provide up to two (2) complete bid sets without charge. Additional bid sets are available at direct cost to the bidder.

Make proposals on the bid form supplied in the specifications manual. No oral or telegraphic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bid bond payable to Fitzgerald Public Schools, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. For bids in excess of $50,000, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond will be required. Due to the funding for this project, it is a non-prevailing wage project.

All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Fitzgerald Board of Education or the Superintendent of Schools. All bids shall also include a notarized affidavit stating compliance with the School Safety Initiative Legislation. A bid that does not include these (2) two documents will not be accepted.

Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any formalities in regard thereto. In addition, the Board reserves the right to evaluate bids on any basis determined by the Board to be in the best interest of the Board and to consider alternate bids if the low bidder(s) do not meet the specifications or are otherwise determined to be unqualified.
