Description: The intent of this Invitation for Bid is to obtain the services of a qualified general contractor to construct a regional park consisting of four (4) ballfield complexes containing seventeen (17) ballfields and associated improvements at Philip A. Bolen Memorial Park. The park is located on the east side of Sycolin Road in Leesburg, Virginia across from the Leesburg Airport. The park is slated to open in spring 2010. The scope of work will include, but not be limited to: constructing improvements as shown on Site Plan 2004-0099 developed by VIEW Engineering and dated May 2008; erosion and sediment control measures; earthwork; storm drainage and stormwater management facilities; roads and parking lots; trails; sports field lighting; fencing; bleachers; and landscaping. Attachment I provides further clarification of the scope of work as part of this contract. General Conditions are included as Attachment III. Project Drawings and Specifications are included as separate attachments.
