ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE
TOWN OF LONGMEADOW, MASSACHUSETTS


The Town of Longmeadow is accepting bids for elevator maintenance for a one year term. Bid documents may be obtained at the following office: Town of Longmeadow, Attn: Chad Thompson-Purchasing Coordinator, 735 Longmeadow Street, Suite 101, Longmeadow, MA 01106 (P-413-565-4136). Bid documents may also be obtained online at www.longmeadow.org, select ‘Purchasing Dept’, then select the link labeled Government RFP, Bid & Contract Finder to find the bid by title. Bidders are encouraged to register with the Purchasing Coordinator.

All bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates determined by the Massachusetts Dept. of Labor and Industries pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 and 27H. A 5% bid deposit is required with the bid submission based on the first year contract amount. The bid deposit should be in the form of a bid bond, certified bank check or certified money order made payable to the Town of Longmeadow.

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled ‘IFB: ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE’. Bids will be accepted at the office of the Longmeadow Purchasing Coordinator until the bid deadline of 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 19, 2010. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be immediately opened in the Auditorium located in the same building as the Purchasing Coordinator.

The Town of Longmeadow acting through the Town Manager, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town.
