PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
Sealed proposals addressed to the City Secretary of the City of Sachse
will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 28th of October, 2008 at
the City Council Chambers, City of Sachse, 5560 Highway 78, Sachse,
Texas, 75048. All proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud for
the following:
Waterline Improvements at President George Bush Turnpike
All bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable bond or cashier's check
in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The
bid guaranty is required by the owner as evidence of good faith and as a
guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder shall execute the
contract and furnish the required bonds and evidence of insurance within
ten (10) days after receipt of the awarded contract.
Plans and bid specifications are available at the Butcher, Willis &
Ratliff Corporation, 8140 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 900, Dallas, Texas,
75231, (214) 373-7873 for a non-refundable payment of $100. Bid
envelopes shall be sealed and marked with "Waterline Improvements at
President George Bush Turnpike" on the outside of the envelope. The
city reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive all
formalities. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the
price in the proposal, the city reserves the right to consider the most
advantageous construction thereof, or reject the proposal. A mandatory
bidders' conference is scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2008, 2:00
p.m. at City Council Chambers of City Hall. Project contact is Billy
