Description: The successful contractor will provide Rideshare with a web based, rideshare matching and Transportation Demand Management service. An example of the preferred functionality and user interface functions for the online rideshare matching service can been see at Traffic Solutions, Santa Barbara, CA. The web-based carpool, vanpool and bicycle commuter matching service will offer users the ability to find other people who have a similar transportation need along a similar route. The program shall guard client confidentiality, produce maps and directions, email contact information and pre-draft email correspondence that a user may personalize. Matching may occur either along a corridor between origin, destination, or mid point or within a set distance from each end of the trip. Users may modify parameters (i.e. miles, times, start/mid/end point, set
contact preference to email or phone, and select confidentiality parameters). Users will have the option to select a Park and Ride Lot, employer worksite, community landmark or facility as a commute point. The user must acknowledge reading disclaimers and
safety warnings prior to registering and finding matches.
